NYS Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA), Pistol Permit Course.

This comprehensive course spans 16 hours in the classroom and 2 hours on the range. Covering topics such as safe gun handling, NYS Penal Law Article 35:00, suicide prevention, concealed carry skills, force de-escalation, the effects of alcohol and drugs, and all NYS firearm carrying laws, it ensures a thorough understanding. Delving into the primary causes of firearms accidents, firearm parts, unloading certain action types, ammunition components, cleaning, care, and safe storage of firearms in the home, the course is designed for comprehensive knowledge. A written exam requiring a passing score of 80% and a Range Qualification, where students must hit a 25.5 x 11-inch target from 4 yards using 5 rounds (with 4 hitting the target), complete the training.

Defensive Pistol.

Designed to impart the skills required to halt a lethal attack, this course instructs students on drawing from the holster, movement, and accurately placing rounds on target. A prerequisite for participation is a solid understanding of firearm handling and shooting. If you lack this foundation, we recommend starting with our Basics of Pistol Shooting course first.
Basics of Pistol Shooting
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is suitable for individuals of all shooting backgrounds or NRA affiliations and offers two delivery options. The first is a traditional, instructor-led course where you receive direct guidance from an NRA-certified instructor. The second option consists of a self-study or “eLearning module” completed online at your own pace, followed by a hands-on practical portion held in a classroom and shooting range with an instructor.
NRA Basic CCW
Course Goal: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. The NRA CCW Course is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. This instructor-led only course gives you direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end and may be conducted in a classroom and on a shooting range with an Instructor.
Women's Wednesdays Gun Cleaning.

This course is for Women only, it’s presented under the guidance of a knowledgeable and patient instructor.
The proper method of cleaning and maintaining your firearms is essential to the life and reliability of the firearm. Learn what tools are needed to make cleaning easier and more efficient. Learn proper lubrication, where it should be applied and how much. We will provide you with the skills needed for you keep your guns running longer with less wear by keeping them in top condition.
During this two-hour class, we will also have an open-floor discussion on personal safety and current safety issues as they pertain to your surroundings.
Smokeless Range Simulator Scenario training. Shoot, No Shoot, and target practice. This class is scheduled by appointment only, please call (716) 622-7168
This class is 80% simulator based. We will go over NYS Penal law Article 35:00. The use of Physical Force/The use of Deadly Physical Force. Students will then apply what they have learned to interactive scenarios in the simulator, students will use infrared laser guns.
The cost of this course is $50.00 an hour.
This course will focus on the basics of marksmanship, and firearm familiarity. We emphasize rifle marksmanship skills including zeroing your rifle in order to achieve consistent accuracy and self-evaluation.
This class will help you to develop your trigger control, breathing, shot selection, and picking up the pace with follow up shots. You will develop accuracy on demand through initial sight picture and recoil management.

This class is specifically designed to meet and exceed the new NYS Minimum Curriculum for the Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA). The class includes the non-NRA requirements set forth by NYS (non-NRA Legal) and NYS Required Shooting Qualification (plus NRA CCW shooting exercises).
