NYS Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA), Pistol Permit Course.(716) 622-7168

This class is specifically designed to meet and exceed the new NYS Minimum Curriculum for the Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA). The class includes the non-NRA requirements set forth by NYS (non-NRA Legal) and NYS Required Shooting Qualification (plus NRA CCW shooting exercises).
*THIS CLASS IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A NYS PISTOL PERMIT*
This is an 18hr course that will take place in the classroom, and on a LIVE firing range. The course will be given over 2 1/2 days (We will work the course schedule around the student’s availability), with most of the last day on the range. Instructors will go over all the NYS-required learning objectives under the CCIA. Students must take and pass a written exam with a score of no less than 80%, there will also be a live fire course qualification. The student will shoot a target measuring 25 1/2 x 11 inches from a distance of 5 yards. Students will fire 5 rounds onto the target, 4 of the 5 rounds must hit the target to qualify.
Students brings:
Positive attitude.
clothing that is conducive for concealed carry. (Over-garment)
A). Jacket/Coat.
B). Hoodie.
C). A belt MUST be worn.
Hearing and eye protection.
Government-issued ID.
Note-taking materials.
FYSA Provides:
1. Pistols/ ammunition. (For those that currently do not possess)
2. Range and classroom.
No live ammunition is permitted in the classroom during any class.
A valid current government-issued photo identification is required.
All major credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted for payments. No personal checks are accepted.
